The following 15 pages are in this category, out of 15 total. The processed (clipped) signal in the 'Hard Limiter' effect is identical to the effect of 'hard clipping' setting in Audacity's new 'Limiter' effect. The only thing that is 'missing' from the new Limiter effect is a Wet/Dry mix control, which, as you say, is easy enough to do.

I note that when using the Amplify parameter it seems to automatically select a level (see before/after screenshot) - and the OK button goes away if exceeded that amount. The location of Audacity's work-in-progress folder has been changed, to avoid problems where certain disk cleaners treated them as deletable temporary files. Crashes on reading very large.wav and.mp2 files have been fixed. Audacity 2.1.1: - Built-in effects now support presets. New Limiter effect replaces Hard Limiter effect.
